Biography
Rabbi Kievman was born in Brooklyn, New York where he completed his Rabbinical studies in Central Yeshivah Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch as well as completing a degree in Dayanus. He settled in Melbourne together his wife in December 1999, furthering his Rabbinical studies with the Kollel Menachem from 2000 until 2006.
He joined the Beth Din in 2004, and together with Rabbi Gutnick shlit”a has been involved in researching and formulating policies for the Beth Din, coupled with consultation with other Batei Dinim around the World. He is currently conducting extensive research into the laws of Gittin and is in the final stages of publishing his book on these matters. The aim of the book is to provide greater insight into these laws to be shared with other Rabbis worldwide.
Rabbi Kievman directs the final stages of the conversion at the Mikvah, and has developed a best practice process ensuring that the process both upholds the best Halachik standards as well as maintaining utmost human dignity and sensitivity.
